The first baby warthog in over a decade has finally made her debut, just in time for Mother's Day. Mother warthog, Amina, celebrates her first Mother's Day with proud warthog dad, Perching. General Curator, Jamie McMaster says, "they have been exceptionally protective and careful with her, and for first-time parents they are doing a fantastic job."
The new little warthog has been named Amara, and can be seen with her parents daily in the Warthog exhibit. She has been very playful in the morning and afternoons. Both parents have been keeping her inside the cool den during the heat of the day.
